Quality Improvement Cell (QIC) has
been established at our College Central Library.
Through QIC, the faculty and students are exposed
to various resources such as NPTEL
by IIT Madras, Spoken Tutorials
by IIT Bombay and other video courses
etc., for improvement of Teaching – Learning
NPTEL (National Programme on Technology
Enhanced Learning), IIT Madras
NPTEL, IIT Madras is offering online certification
courses through its portal https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in. There
are 10, 20 hour as well as 40 hour courses offered
twice a year. NPTEL enable students to obtain
certificates for special courses and enable the
students employable in the industry or pursue
a suitable higher education programme.
Spoken Tutorials, IIT Bombay
Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay (IITB) to empower the
Faculty and Students in Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the "Talk
to a Teacher" project of IIT, Bombay, funded by Ministry
of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, under the National
Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT).
The vision of this spoken tutorial project is to make every Indian switch to
Open Source Software. The mission of this project is to reach out to the maximum
number of students in colleges / institutes all over India and spread the use
and learning of FOSS. Spoken Tutorial project is teaching Free and Open Source
software (FOSS) through audio-visual tutorials namely 'Spoken Tutorials'.
