The Gender Equity Cell at National Engineering College is dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering men women relationship within the campus community. By raising awareness and fostering healthy relationships between genders, the cell aims to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. It strives to deepen understanding of women’s issues and work towards building an egalitarian society where both men and women have equal rights and opportunities. Through its efforts, the Gender Equity Cell seeks to ensure that gender equality is upheld in all areas of life, including economic participation and decision-making, and that the diverse perspectives and needs of both genders are equally valued and respected.

Objectives

• Raise Awareness: To create awareness about the importance of gender equality, highlighting the need for equal rights and opportunities for all genders.
• Promote Gender Amity: To foster harmonious relationships and mutual respect among college students and staff, promoting a culture of inclusivity and understanding.
• Challenge Gender Bias: To challenge and eliminate deeply ingrained beliefs and attitudes of gender bias and insensitivity, promoting a more equitable and unbiased environment.
• Create a Gender-Inclusive Environment: To create an inclusive and supportive environment within the college, ensuring that all students and staff can carry out their responsibilities without facing disadvantages related to gender bias.
