The Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is a professional body that offers engineers, scientists, manufacturers and students an opportunity to disseminate technical concepts and knowledge by becoming a member and joining together as a family to explore recent developments in the manufacturing field. Journal of Manufacturing Engineering (JME) is an outcome of efforts made by the Society for Manufacturing Engineers, a forum shared by Academic, R&D institutions and industry. The journal aims at integrating the advances that are taking place in these diverse sectors. The scope includes all aspects of Science, Technology and Engineering relevant to Manufacturing. JME has nearly 200 subscribers from all over India. JME has published 16 Volumes so far with quarterly issues.
