Ragging Is A Punishable Offence
Every year the Institution takes strict action to eradicate Ragging in our College premises. Ragging is totally banned in our College, College Hostels, Canteen, out side the campus and in all means of transportation of students both public and private. Flux Banners indicating details of UGC regulations for curbing the menace of ragging have been erected in various places in the College Campus.
The Students were advised not to indulge in any type of Ragging and the following points were also informed.
- Beware of ragging – you are watched by ANTI RAGGING SQUAD
- Ragging is dangerous – for your future – be against ragging
- Ragging is totally banned – Anyone found guilty of ragging and / or abetting ragging is liable to be punished appropriately.
- RAGGING IS AN INHUMAN ACT. All human beings should be treated with a spirit of brother hood
In view of directions of Honorable Supreme Court on this, UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in the Higher Educational Institution 2009, Anti Ragging committee and Anti Ragging Squad for the academic year 2013– 2014 is constituted in our Institution. The Name, Phone Number and E-mail Id of the Anti Ragging Committee and Anti Ragging Squad is displayed in the Notice Board of our College.
However, any complaint regarding Ragging can be informed to the Nodal Officer. The Name, E-mail ID, mobile number of the Nodal officer is given below:

We also informed the first year B.E./B.Tech. Students to report about any incidents of Ragging without any hesitation to the Director/Principal/Deans/HODs/Class In-Charges/Class Tutors with the details of the students indulging in Ragging. Objectives
- To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.
- To be aware of the minority students regarding various scholarships program of state and central Government.
- To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
- To encourage enrolling in career orientation programs that would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose career options.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the grievances of minority students to render them necessary help in solving academic as well as administrative problems.
- To arrange special opportunities to enhance the carrier growth of these students.
- To conduct the programme for disseminating the scholarship schemes provided by governmental agencies and other sources.

POSH Cell
Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Cell
As per the guidelines of UGC, NAAC and the Supreme Court, Women Anti Harassment Cell has been established by our college to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to the female staff members and students of the college. Our College is a coeducational institution. It provides opportunities to both boys and girls to develop their leadership qualities. However, there are a large number of women who work hand in hand with men here. Hence, any unwelcome sexually motivated behavior, whether directly or by implication involving physical contacts or advances, demand for sexual favours, sexually spoiled remarks, and other unwelcome physical, verbal or non verbal expressions of a sexual nature which affects them right to work in a congenial environment at the workplace are strictly observed and severely punished . This cell aims at sensitizing the students and staff and working diligently to prevent sexual harassment in the college. Complaints of sexual harassment shall be lodged with the Committee and appropriate disciplinary action is initiated by the members in accordance to the rules and regulations of the college.

- To prevent gender discrimination.
- To conduct periodical programmes on women empowerment.
- To provide conducive environment and congenial atmosphere for both girl students and faculty members.
