1. NEC- MISTRAL TECHNOBATION CENTER
About
M/s Mistral Solutions is a technology design and system engineering company providing end-to-end embedded product design and development services for global customers for 25 years. M/s Mistral solutions, Bangalore has established technobation center at our campus in 2021. Our students are trained through internships and get offers in Mistral Solutions.
Internship
- Mistral conducts a selection process for internship of students at NEC either in the 5th or 6th semester.
- In Phase 1, training to a minimum of 50 students is provided in the 5th or 6th semester as per the requirement of industries.
- In Phase 2, a selection process is conducted and training/Internship(non-paid) for the recruited students in the 7th semester on their emerging areas of the industries is provided.
- In Phase 3, Mistral provides mandatory Internships in the 8th semester with a stipend of a minimum of Rs.10,000 per month for the recruited students.
- It may give live projects to the students during training and Internships.
Benefits
Mistral provides support and training to the students and faculty members in converting their ideas into products for social development. The technobation centre can be set up for the students to increase their imagination to accelerate critical thinking and to provide industrial exposure for enhancing the domain knowledge and skills for developing innovative products. Through the Technobation Center, students gain hands-on experience in emerging technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship while being nurtured and encouraged by faculty, management and industrial experts.

Activities in 2022-23
Mistral selected 16 students for recruitment through technobation center in 2021-2022. For the year 2022-23, Mistral conducted a selection process during January’2023 for Internship. Hence, 53 students from III year have been selected from ECE, EEE, CSE & IT departments. Now, students are undergoing training during the 6th semester.
Mistral Hackfest-22
Mistral Solutions, Bangalore, successfully conducted the Mistral Hackfest-22; a hybrid event organised in collaboration with National Engineering College (NEC), Kovilpatti, from March to May 2022. The six-week-long event focused on providing an ambitious platform for students, getting them to solve challenging real-world problems faced by the industry and society. The event encompassed trending technologies in the field of the Internet of things, Wearable Electronics and Autonomous.
Over 424 teams consisting of 800 students from 50-plus engineering colleges across South India participated in the event. More than 400 concepts were submitted. Mistral conducted online reviews and shortlisted 70 teams from which 30 teams made it to the Grand Finale that was held at NEC on Saturday, 7th May 2022. Each team showcased their design and presented the concept to a jury led by. Dr S. Christopher, Professor – IITM Electrical Department and former Chairman of DRDO and Mr Rajeev Ramachandra, CTO and Co-Founder, Mistral Solutions.
2. NEC – Brimma Technobation Center
About
Brimma Tech has been an emerging Software product development company in the Mortgage domain for over 15 years. It is our pride and privilege that the founder of Brimma, Mr. Subramanian, is an NEC Alumni and native of the Tenkasi district. As part of the social responsibility and commitment to the inclusive development of our rural students, Brimma established a “Technobation Center” at NEC to equip students with outstanding skills for employability.
Internship
Brimma provides training for students with Hands-on project experience. Internship opportunities with stipends for the shortlisted students and without stipends for other students are provided. It provides an opportunity for the students to get trained and work part-time during their final year. The selected students will get permanent employment from Brimma.Benefits
Brimma is committed to recruit the students every year from NEC campus for its workforce who qualifies the minimum recruitment criteria. However, the centre will be open for all students who will be aspiring to hone skills, acquire domain knowledge, and learn latest tools of the industry.

Activities in 2022-23
MoU is signed between NEC and Brimma Tech on 13th December 2021 and both parties agreed to make the Technobation Centre operational by February 2022.
On account of that, Brimma conducted a selection process and shortlisted 16 students for placement with the CTC of 5 Lakhs. For the selected students, Brimma offers
- Training and Live project experience in the 7th Semester.
- Mandatory Internship at 8th semester with a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month.
- Brimma technical leads are available for additional specialised classes via online or occasional weekend direct classes.
- After completion of their internship, the students will be onboarded as an “Engineering Partner” with Brimma Tech.
3. NEC – Vlinder Technobation Center
About
Vlinder is a startup company that works on Blockchain Technology. It works with a vision to enable businesses to harness the power of Blockchain through its state-of-the-art and innovative platforms. M/s Vlinder Private Labs, Bangalore established technobation center at our campus in July 2023. Our students are trained through internships and got offers in Vlinder Private Labs.
Internship
During the sixth semester, Vlinder shortlists 20 students and they will receive training in industry-standard tools and technologies. The selection process will be done as a part of Vlinder’s campus recruitment process. Shortlisted students for the Technobation will consist of :
a. A set of students with an internship and employment offer
b. Remaining students with an internship offer only.

- Vlinder provides support and training to the students and faculty members in recent technology on Blockchain.
- The technobation center is set up for the students to increase their exposure to real-time requirements of clients deploying blockchain technologies.
- It triggers converting the skills of students to real-time problems.
- The technobation center also uses the expertise of the institute in providing consultancy partners with the institute.
